Pickle is a 4 month old traditional smooth haired short legged Jack Russell Terrier. He was born on Christmas Day.
Sadly he has been passed around a bit, because people found him too busy, and is now under our care, and looking for a permanent home. Howeverbhevis absolutely delightful, and will make a wonderful best friend for someone.
Pickle is still very much a baby. He still needs help with his house training – he simply forgets.
He loves to play Zoomies, and the usual terrier tugging and shaking games with his toys, he does get a bit over the top at times, and is still learning the self control needed to curb his excitement.
His previous homes hadn’t walked him out in a lead at all, so that’s all new. Though he is interested and curious about the world, he will take a few minutes to take in a new situation ot person, prior to making friends .
Pickle is currently living with a dachshund who he adores, ( she doesn’t need a home) He copies everyting she does. He does love playing with the dogs he knows. It would be beneficial to him to live with a patient, slightly older dog, who will not hurt him whilst teaching the rules.
Pickle loves company, and needs stability in his life after his changeable start. He would be happiest in a home where he wasn’t left home alone all day, or for long periods. So active early retirees or a family with older children, and someone home most of the time. Because he is so easily excited, he isn’t suitable for a home with babies, or under 10’s.
He needs a good sized garden to burn off some of that energy and give him somewhere to sniff and chill.
Pickle is near Kidwelly. Applicants and their homes will be vetted prior to meeting the gorgeous little chap. They will need to be able to travel to meet him.
